Mark Christensen MPT
Physical Therapist

I was born and raised in the Inland Northwest, and gravitated towards extreme sports. During the early 80's my brother and I tried out Freestyle BMX while cruising the neighborhoods and building jumps in vacant lots with friends. We also raced go-karts and rode dirt bikes in the open fields around our house. In the 6th grade I got my first mountain bike to deliver a weekly paper, and I learned to ski - night skiing at Mt. Spokane. In high school, racing motocross was my sport, traveling to regional tracks such as Huetter, Airway Heights and Horn Rapids on Sundays. Then my brother got a stand up Jet-Ski, and we spent the next several years on the water with a bunch of friends, chasing barge wakes on the Snake River, riding the surf at Florence, OR and Pismo Beach, jumping rapids in Hell's Canyon, and hanging out at the races on Lake Havasu. In the mid 90's I was introduced to wakeboarding while working at Camp Ida-Haven. After graduating from the Master of Physical Therapy program at Loma Linda University in 1998, my wife and I moved to Hawaii for her to complete graduate school. While there I was able to begin surfing. I have finished the Race the River sprint triathlon, many years of Bloomsday, and the Spokane Half Marathon. My current sports include dirt biking, mountain biking, snow skiing, wakeboarding, surfing and basketball.
